This lacquer can be used to gradate our white LEDs. The intention is to change the pure white and blue cast-free light of the LED into the light of a conventional bulb. With this gradation lacquer the results are quite good.

The delivery includes a 10 ml bottle with a blended transparent lacquer on a nitro basis with a coloring close to orange, plus another 10 ml bottle with pure nitro thinner to clean tools, remove stains and dilute the lacquer.

Please read the safety precautions in the instructions - they are very important!!

The nitro lacquer has very good adhesion qualities on almost any surface and hardly wears off. As usual, the surface should be free of grease. After application, the lacquer dries in only a few minutes.

A thin coating produces a slightly yellow light. Several layers of coating produce a real yellowish light like that of a lantern. This works very well with our white LEDs because it is essential that the light is absolutely free of any bluish cast. Otherwise you will get some kind of greenish light - since blue mixed with yellow or orange results in green. So if your light shines green after you have applied the lacquer, the LED you are using does have a bluish cast.

The lacquer can be applied as often as desired - once or several times. And if you figure out that you have applied too much of it, you simply can wipe it off again with the enclosed thinner. This does not do any damage to our electronics or to the LEDs.

To apply the lacquer, it is best to use a very thin brush, we recommend the Habico Red Marten brush in the smallest available sizes 5/0 or 4/0.
